SixCut ("we", "us") decides how your information is used and is responsible for it. This page explains what we collect on sixcut.app (the website and waitlist) and app.sixcut.app (the app), why, and what you can ask us to do with it. Questions or requests: [email protected].
The short version: we collect what we need to run SixCut, we never sell your information, we don't use advertising trackers, and you can ask us to delete everything at any time.
1. The waitlist
- What we keep: your email (required); your first name, last name and phone number if you give them; your referral code and who invited you; the country, region and city Cloudflare estimates from your connection; the link you came from (for example a campaign tag); and when you joined.
- What we don't keep: your IP address. To stop spam we keep a scrambled (salted hash) form of it for a short time to limit repeated tries, and Cloudflare Turnstile checks that you're a person.
- Why: to keep your place in line, count your invites, and contact you about SixCut: your place, launch day and your supporter price. Nothing else.
2. Your SixCut account
- Account: your email and your password (stored only as a one-way hash; we can't read it). A sign-in cookie keeps you signed in; it's the only cookie we set, and it's not used for tracking.
- Your API keys (on the free trial and Own keys): stored encrypted, used only to run your own videos, and never shown back to you or anyone else.
- Your projects: what you upload and make: ideas, scripts, voice recordings, footage, edits and finished videos. Stored on our server so you can work on them; only your account can open them.
- Usage: how many videos you've made, and on All included and Studio, how many AI credits each step used and how many you have left; plus basic server logs for fixing errors.
- Styles you copy (Studio): the clip you upload for Copy a style, the frames and measurements SixCut takes from it, and the style it saves. Only your account can see them; delete the style and they go with it.
- Your channel name, if you add one, so subscribe graphics in your videos can show it.
- Payments: handled entirely by Paddle (see below). We receive your subscription status, plan, billing period, renewal date, the credit top-ups you bought and Paddle's customer ID, never your card details.
3. Who we share it with
Only the companies that help run SixCut, and only what each needs for its job:
- Cloudflare (USA, global network): hosts the website and the waitlist database, protects against attacks and bots, and connects you to our server.
- Our server host: the server the SixCut app runs on, where accounts and projects are stored. We'll name it here before the app opens.
- Paddle (UK): our reseller and merchant of record; it processes payments, taxes, invoices and refunds under its own privacy policy.
- Anthropic (USA): the AI that researches, writes and edits. When you use an AI feature, your idea, script and the details needed for that step are sent to it, under your own key or ours.
- ElevenLabs (USA): AI voiceovers, when you use them; the script text is sent to it.
- Pexels and Wikimedia: search phrases are sent to find stock footage and images.
Some of these companies are in other countries, including outside the EU; they use their own safeguards for international transfers. We don't sell or rent your information, and we don't share it for advertising. We'd only give it to authorities if the law requires it.
4. How long we keep it
- Waitlist details: until SixCut launches and the supporter offer ends, or until you ask us to delete them, whichever comes first.
- Account and projects: while your account exists. Deleted projects are removed from the server; old renders may be cleaned up to save space (the app warns you first).
- Payment records: Paddle and we keep invoices and payment records as long as tax law requires.
5. Your rights
You can ask us to show you what we have about you, correct it, export it, or delete it, and you can object to how we use it. Write to [email protected] from the email you signed up with, or reply "remove" to any email from us. We'll answer within 30 days. If you're unhappy with our answer, you can complain to your local data protection authority.
6. Children
SixCut isn't meant for children under 16, and we don't knowingly collect their information.
7. Changes
If we change this policy in a way that matters, we'll tell you by email or in the app before it applies.
